EMO, a market abbreviation for the former Enamelled Cookware Factory, represents an important chapter in the history of Celje. The origin of this famous factory dates back to the pre-war period, when it operated as the Westen factory, established in 1892 under foreign ownership. Later, it was transformed into an Enamelling, Metal Industry and Tool Factory, with chemical industry and container production with sheet metal galvanizing as additional activities.
