A tradition that has lasted for more than a century<\/h3>

The story of EMO Celje<\/strong> begins in 1892<\/strong>, when Adolf Westen founded a metal factory for the production of cookware in Celje. From a small craft workshop, the company quickly developed into one of the most important industrial enterprises in the region and later into the largest factory in Celje.<\/p>

The enameled cookware factory grew over the decades alongside the city and its people. During its peak, it employed several thousand workers and was a key economic and social pillar of Celje and its surroundings. Enameled cookware remained its central product throughout \u2013 high-quality, durable, and designed for everyday use.<\/p>

In the first half of the 20th century, it was the only factory of its kind in the former Yugoslavia. In addition to the domestic market, products were exported to the Balkans, the Middle East, Europe, and later also to the USA. The symbol of two lions<\/strong>, internationally registered as early as 1928, became a synonym for reliable quality.<\/p>

After the Second World War, the company operated under state ownership under the name EMO and sold its products in more than 25 countries. Despite the difficult period of transition and near collapse, the tradition was not broken. The production of enameled cookware has been preserved and continues today on a smaller scale, but with the same dedication to quality.<\/p>

Today, EMO means more than just cookware. It represents part of the industrial, cultural, and identity heritage of Slovenia.
